A friend in our ward takes great pictures so we just had to have her take pictures of our family.

It was another Happy Halloween in Indiana

Happy belated Halloween. We had a very fun Halloween this year. Brody was a Tiger and Cambridge was a bat. The bat costume puzzled many people. Cambridge was called a cat, a mouse, and Eeyore (with Brody as Tigger). Pumpkin carving was a blast for all of us. Brody even had to get in the mix. Cambridge was having fun, but then he dumped some pumpkin insides on his leg.

All three of my boys can be very interesting at times. Cambridge is obsessed with the 3D glasses that we have laying around the house. He looks really funny with them on, but he will not take them off. He even goes to bed with them.

and my dear husband...I don't know where to begin. His friend at work decided to grow the worlds hottest pepper, the buht jolokia or ghost pepper. It is over 3000 times hotter than a jalapeno and over three times hotter than a habanero. He ate half of one seeds and all while at work. When he got home he said is stomach hurt really bad. He was home about an hour when his body rejected it allowing him to taste it again. He wanted sympathy as he was curled up in pain on the floor, but wasn't going to get any from me for doing something that stupid. He swore off eating those plain from now on. I still love him though.

Viva St. Louis

We recently took a trip to Saint Louis to see some friends get sealed in the Saint Louis temple. We took the opportunity to take a stroll downtown to the sites before the ceremony. St. Louis is quite a unique town with clearly a lot of age to it, but it was really beautiful. The weather was perfect for us as we enjoyed our time there. We did have one unperfect thing happen. We missed our exit to go downtown and then got lost. Ryan was driving down a road and ignored a sign that said "Do Not Enter." He realized that he made a mistake when he saw cars driving right at us. A fire chief saw our quick U-turn and gave Ryan the correct directions to the city. We all had a good laugh about it.

The arch is quite an experience. To get in you step into a small door into what Ryan called a "space pod." There are five seats and only small windows in the door. It felt a little like an amusement park ride. The view from the top incredible. Cambridge sure liked looking down, but you had to hold him or else he would think he was falling.

Our really good friends Tara and Michael also drove down, we shared a hotel room, and had lots of fun with them!

The Saint Louis temple is located right on the side of the freeway, so it is hard to miss. It is such a beautiful building. We had some baby-sitters that watched our kids, which let both Ryan and I attend the ceremony. The service was small, but seeing our friends be sealed was well worth it.

One of the really cool things about Saint Louis is that they have a really cool zoo that is free to get in! Cambridge wanted to see some snakes so we looked for the biggest snake they had. We of course had to find the monkey's too. After all that fun it was getting late and we had a 5 hour drive home, but we made enough time to have a big leaf fight. I think Cambridge won.

I love visiting new cities and seeing what is there. This was a perfect opportunity for a quick trip for some "family fun time". Our boys loved it too.

Brody Boo Turns 1

My sweet little Boo turned one two weeks ago! It is so sad how fast they grow up. However, we had a great day! Ryan made the cutest little turtle cake for him and we had all of his honorary Aunts and Uncles over for a little party for him! It was so much fun, and we sure love our little guy. He is so funny lately too, he has his own little opinions about things, and throws little tantrums if he doesn't get his way. Ryan and I think we are going to be in trouble with this little boy, but I guess that is okay.
