Goodbye old friend

Dear 5804 Trinity,

A house is made up of wood, bricks, sheetrock, and a lot of other things. A house is source of protection from weather and evils. A house is part of the American dream. You were all of those things and so much more for our family. You were a home. A home is much different than a house. Each day we drive past many houses, but seldom do we pay attention. After a long day of work or at the end of a long trip just seeing you sends a feeling of relief. The memories that you have helped us experience are too many to name. You became a place of happiness and joy. You were there to help us welcome our two children into the world. When we painted the nursery for Cambridge we were so excited because in this space our little angel would sleep. We trusted you to keep our babies safe and safe they were. As our boys grew the sights and sounds in our home changed. Our boys loved to run around inside you laughing and screaming as they went from room to room. You were very good for our boys and we are so grateful.

Often we hosted family and friends within your walls. Thanksgiving and 4th of July parties were almost a requirement in our home. Bringing together friends, our second family, was always something we looked forward to. Movie and game nights were always a hit, with trivia and rivalry in abundance. You were a meeting place where people could come and just socialize, leaving the world at the door. You let us experience the feeling of having family close by and all of the happiness it brings.

An opportunity has come up that is making us leave you. We will be able to pack up your contents, but will have to leave you behind. However, we will be able to take the memories of times spent with you. If it were possible we would take you with us, but we must say goodbye. When we are unpacking and getting everything organized again we know there will be a feeling that we forgot something that was left behind. It will be you that is missing, but we will have to move on. Our new house will hopefully become a home soon and will bring all the happiness that you did for us. We don’t know how well your new owners will treat you, but we hope and pray that they will treat you the same as we did. We will miss you dearly, but will think of you often. Thank you for keeping us safe and warm. Thank you for being a place of refuge from the world around us. Thank you so much for being our first real home and meaning so much to us. Thank you for being a friend that we will always hold dear. Saying goodbye is hard to do, but as we drive away we will all look back one last time to say our final goodbye.

With complete gratitude,

The White’s

Look who turned 4

Cambridge recently turned 4 years old, and he had his first friend party! We had a really fun pizza party where everyone got to make their own pizzas! Each kid got a little chef's hat, and moustache, and an apron to wear while they were making their own pizza. His friends William and Paisley were so cute, and Cambridge and Brody had a really great time.
Here is Cambridge opening his presents!
We even made him a pizza cake!
Eating lunch!
